Taylor Alumna Awarded Anthony Muñoz Foundation Scholarship
In September the Taylor High School Counseling Department was notified that Taylor Alumna, Class of 2022, Haven Bruce was awarded a scholarship from the Anthony Muñoz Foundation.
The Anthony Muñoz Foundation partnered with Northern Kentucky University to enhance the educational opportunities for local youth through increased access and scholarship opportunities.
This partnership directly impacted Haven, who was awarded a $16,000 scholarship from the Anthony Muñoz Foundation Impact Program. The scholarship is being used by Haven to continue her education at Northern Kentucky University.
One of Three Rivers Local School District’s strategic plan pillars is Student Success, and this scholarship highlights Haven’s success as a college student. At the event where Haven received her scholarship, cards were given to each attendee. On the card were the words, “My feet may have stopped growing, but I will keep growing for the rest of my life. My shoes symbolize me and every part of me, they show that I am strong.” The quote was Haven’s, making the event and honor even that much more special for Haven, her family, and the Three Rivers Community who are all incredibly proud of her success and much-deserved recognition.
