PHILANTHROPY CLUB

Philanthropy Club is currently reviewing non-profit organizations that focus on helping those in poverty. So far, the club has visited "Bake Me Home", an organization that gives cooking supplies and recipes to families in poverty, and "Our Daily Bread", an organization in Greater Cincinnati which helps to feed over 400 meals daily and help those in poverty find relief. The club will also be visiting "Big Brothers, Big Sisters" next week.

Students actively involved in the club include Nakayla Hammond, Emily Brettschneider, Danielle Acree, Olivia Adams, and Kurt Knue

The goal of Philanthropy is for students to pick various organization to consider for a $1000 grant. The students involved learn about organizationS in the area and the topic of giving.

In addition to viewing the organizations, Philanthropy Club had the opportunity to give! Philanthropy club made over 200 bologna sandwiches for "Our Daily Bread" which they gave out to those who visit as the organization is closed during dinner time. The hope is to provide individuals with a supplemental meal. Nakayla Hammond, Katie Rohlfer, Stephanie Rohlfer, and Ricky Hammond helped to make the sandwiches and Nakayla Hammond and Emily Brettschneider helped to deliver them!
