Scholastic Art Competition

Congratulations are in order for a talented group of student artists from Taylor Middle School and Taylor High School who have earned recognition in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the largest high school visual art competition in the United States.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards celebrate creative excellence among students in grades 7–12 (ages 13 and up), with participants submitting work across 29 categories of art and writing. Each submission is carefully reviewed by a panel of art professionals who evaluate entries based on originality, technical skill, and the development of a personal artistic voice. From more than 5,000 submissions, Taylor students were selected for this prestigious exhibition—an outstanding accomplishment.

A special congratulations goes to Jill Bender, who earned the distinguished Gold Key Portfolio Award for her 3D portfolio. This honor represents the highest level of regional recognition and qualifies her work to advance to the national Scholastic competition in New York City, where it will be showcased among the best student artwork in the country.

We are incredibly proud of our Taylor student artists for their creativity, dedication, and achievement. Their success reflects both their individual talent and the strong commitment to the arts within our schools.
