How great it is to live in a community that works together to benefit our children! Picnics in the Parking Lot is off to an incredible start! Each of the first two weeks we have served more than 130 meals and each week we have sent over 95 kids home with food bags.
Whitewater Crossing has an awesome group of strategically recruited volunteers who are "All In" to make sure every child feels loved, is safe and has fun. There are high school kids that greet the bus every week and join in the fun activities with the kids. There are "grandparents" who encourage and love on the kids and there are young moms and dads who are modeling great family values as they interact with the kids. Whitewater Staff has been joining us for lunch too!  We also have a team that is preparing a fun activity each week.
Many from the community have jumped in to help with food. Crossroads and Restoration Church have helped. The Masonic Lodge in Miamitown is helping with food and is also helping to serve food. The Three Rivers Alumni Association and the Kiwanis have contacted me and offered to help.
