Celebrating Student Creativity: Braxton Tavares Featured at the Contemporary Art Center

Braxton Tavares

Congratulations are in order for Braxton Tavares, a talented 7th-grade student, who has been selected to showcase her artwork, Mascara Eyes, in the Contemporary Art Center’s (CAC) upcoming teen exhibition, The Butterfly Effect.

This powerful exhibition explores the pressure teens face to make “the right” choices—an experience that can feel both exhilarating and overwhelming. Braxton’s work stood out for its creativity, depth, and thoughtful expression, and we could not be prouder of her artistic voice (always!).

Braxton’s achievement is a wonderful reminder of the incredible talent and perspective our students bring to their work, both in and out of the classroom. We are thrilled to see her creativity recognized on such a meaningful platform.

Opening Celebration:
Contemporary Art Center (CAC)
February 21
1:00–3:00 PM

We invite our school community to join us in celebrating Braxton and supporting young artists as they share their stories and ideas through art. Well done, Braxton—we can’t wait to see what you create next!
